The Armenian customer owns a medium‑scale local nut processing factory. Apricot nuts are abundant local raw materials. The factory used to rely on scattered small‑size shelling devices and heavy manual work.
Manual processing brought low output, a high kernel breakage rate, and unstable finished‑product quality. To expand production scale and improve kernel intact rate, the client planned to build a continuous automatic processing workshop.
Core composition of the apricot kernel shelling line
This apricot kernel shelling line runs at 1‑1.5 tons per hour, and main food‑contact parts adopt stainless steel material. It covers the whole processing workflow from raw nut feeding to finished kernel picking:
- Raw material feeding & grading: The bucket elevator feeds apricot nuts into a drum sieve. The drum sieve divides raw nuts into 4 different size grades. Electromagnetic quantitative hoppers feed graded nuts into three shelling machines separately.
- Shelling unit: Three sets of almond shelling machines. Operators can adjust shelling gaps according to nut size to keep clean shelling and high kernel integrity.
- Conveying & separation: Mixed shells and kernels are transported by collecting conveyor. Dual‑frequency shell‑kernel separators separate shells from kernels, discharging shells and kernels from independent outlets.
- Gravity destoner and picking conveyor: The gravity destoner removes foreign stones. Two picking belts allow workers to pick out defective kernels manually.
The total installed power of the whole almond shelling processing line is around 26 kW, designed for continuous large‑batch nut processing.
Pre‑shipment test and technical communication
During early communication, our engineers learned the customer’s raw material situation and target hourly output. We confirmed the workflow configuration and material requirements for food‑contact components.
We completed a full‑load running test inside our factory before delivery. We checked grading effect, shelling gap adjustment, shell‑kernel separation performance, and conveyor operation. The customer confirmed all test results before shipment.
Export packing and container loading scene
All apricot kernel shelling line machine components received anti‑rust treatment. Stainless‑steel contact parts received dust‑proof protection. Precision components such as electromagnetic hoppers and frequency‑conversion control cabinets were wrapped with multi‑layer shock‑proof and waterproof materials.
Large‑size frames and independent units were packed into heavy‑duty export wooden cases. All spare accessories were sorted and marked clearly. Workers fixed all cargo firmly inside the shipping container.
